Jean C. Caswell

Jean C. (Fleischer) Caswell, 99, of Ashaway, Rd. Westerly, RI died peacefully on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Russell W. Caswell.

Born in Jersey City, NJ on December 8, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Henry Fleischer and Ethel (Heck) Fisler.

Jean was an active member of the Central Baptist Church in Westerly and a former member of the First Baptist Church. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and going to the Westerly Senior Center.

Jean will be sadly missed by her two children; Kathy C. Niles of Ashaway, RI and David Caswell of Westerly, RI. She was the loving grandmother of Carolyn Belcher, Charles Niles, Melissa Thomas and Erik Caswell and great grandmother of Lily Thomas and Luke Thomas.

A celebration of Jean’s life will be held on Saturday April 13, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Central Baptist Church, 16 Elm St., Westerly, RI. Calling hours are respectfully omitted and burial in Cedar Cemetery, Jamestown, RI will be private.
